What's a good union rally without a banner? The September 3, 1962, Labor Day Salute to American Labor at the Plaza of the States began with these two lovely union representatives holding up a lot of Union Labels.

While Plaza Coordinator Jack Gordon speaks, the Labor Day honorees in the Plaza of the States at the Seattle World's Fair await their turn. AFL-CIO President George Meany (third man from left) was an honor guest at Labor Day Ceremonies, Sept. 3, in the Plaza of the States at the Seattle World's Fair. Joining with Meany after the festivities were (left to right) Ed Weston, Seattle and King County labor official; Governor Albert D. Rosellini of Washington; and Minnesota Senator Hubert Humphrey. Mrs. Meany is in the background.
