CROOKS BEWARE!
If ever the "Mystery of the Missing Basketball" or 'What Happened to the Left-handed Boxing Gloves" develops aboard the NAS in the Athletic department, Chief Specialist Reginald W. H. Stent wll be on the job ready to take up the role of criminal investigator and track down the culprits.
Chief Stent, who is the newest member of the Athletic Department's Physical Training faculty, is a former Scotland Yard, CID man of the London Police Force.
But cadets and stationkeepers needn't worry about whether or not Chief Stent is going to ferret out their private loves, for his main job here will be to act as athletic instructor.
Born in England, Stent was with the London Police force for some time then came to America where he became a physical trainer and amateur boxer. While in England he won the amateur heavyweight title of the London Metropolitan Police. In America, where he soon became owner of an Athletic Club in Portland, Oregon, he won the same title in the Pacific Northwest amateur matches.
Chief Stent enlisted in the Navy in February of this year, forsaking his Athletic club and his position as YMCA Health Service Director for his Navy role. He is married and his wife resides in Portland.
