During his successful 1968 campaign for President, Richard Nixon visited Seattle on September 24th. He spoke to a crowd of between 5,000 and 10,000 in University Plaza (located at the main entrance to the Olympic Hotel on University Street between 4th and 5th Avenues.) This photo shows candidate Nixon, an unknown man, and Al Schilling, general manager of the Olympic Hotel.
